What is Antoniades Gardens?
Antoniades Gardens in Alexandria is one of Egypt’s oldest and largest gardens, offering vast green spaces and a range of family attractions. It has a children’s amusement area, a recently opened dinosaur garden covering 16,000 square metres with 20 life-size models of extinct dinosaurs and mammoths, and a royal greenhouse containing a collection of rare plants. A train (tuf-tuf) tours the garden, and there are plenty of paths for walking. It is particularly popular in the summer evenings, when families flock to enjoy the cool breeze after sunset.
