What is Fourteen Falls?

Fourteen Falls is a wide waterfall on the Athi River at Kilimambogo, about 15 km from Thika and 65 km north-east of Nairobi off the Garissa Road. The river drops over 14 rocky steps, and you can walk to the base, cross by boat for a different view, or hire a guide to cross the falls on foot. The site is run by the local county government and is popular with groups and picnickers.

Gate fees are small, but boat rides, guides and photos are negotiated separately and visitors report being quoted much higher prices than expected. Agree prices clearly before you start, carry cash and take your own food.
