What is Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary?

Monkeyland is a pioneering primate sanctuary near Plettenberg Bay, the first of its kind in the world to offer a free-roaming, multi-species experience. Set in a large indigenous forest, it is home to various species of lemurs, monkeys, and apes, all rescued from the pet trade, laboratories, or zoos. Visitors are taken on a guided tour along a forest trail, where primates roam freely in the trees around them. The knowledgeable guides provide fascinating insights into primate behaviour and conservation. The experience is both educational and magical, especially for children.

Monkeyland rescues and rehabilitates primates from abusive situations and provides a lifetime home for them.
