What is Museum of Illusions Nairobi?
Museum of Illusions Nairobi is an indoor museum on the ground floor of Laxcon Court and Plaza in Parklands. It opened to the public on 25 January 2025.
It has more than 60 exhibits that play tricks on the eye: optical illusions, immersive rooms, holograms and stereograms. Named exhibits include the Infinity Room, the Cloning Table, the Beuchet Chair and the Head on a Platter. The Reversed Room is inspired by Nairobi matatu culture and was designed with Moha.
Visitors explore at their own pace, and staff at some stations help with photos. Most illusions work best with two or more people, so a child who visits alone with one adult may miss a few.
Cash is not accepted. Food and drinks are not allowed inside.
