What is Tsumeb Museum?

The Tsumeb Museum focuses on the town’s mining industry and history, and on the artillery dumped into Lake Otjikoto by German Schutztruppe during World War I to prevent it falling into Allied hands. Exhibits include minerals, historic photographs, cultural artefacts and the recovered weapons. Entrance is very affordable (around NAD 30 per adult and NAD 5 per child aged 7–13), and the museum is small enough for a short visit. It is a worthwhile educational stop in the copper belt.
